Primes Participate in a Maple Sugaring Program

The Primes class recently visited the Sharon Audubon Center to participate in their maple sugaring program. Students learned about the role of maple sap inside a tree, how it is harvested, and how it can be boiled down to make maple syrup. They also learned about how some of the local wildlife take advantage of the sap as a food source. It was a "sweet" learning experience!
